Youth development

Youth are the future of our community – and that's why our Partners in Education area is focused on strengthening the community-wide support system for our youth. We're focused on promoting the work other organizations are doing on behalf of youth and to providing our own youth-focused programming. In the process, we're aiming to enhance youth assets of resilience and competence and reduce youth risk factors related to factors like substance abuse.

We're creating that community support system for our youth by:

• Building the 40 Developmental Assets in our youth
• Connecting students to youth resources in the community
• Promoting asset-building activities for youth throughout Brown County
• Developing teen leadership skills by creating a network of youth leaders with knowledge of important community issues, skills in networking and project management – such as the Partners in Education Brown County Teen Leadership program , Greater Green Bay Youth Leadership Council and Project Management training for area high schools
• Educating adults and the community on the importance about the value of the 40 Developmental Assets for our youth
