Project Management for Teens

Project Management for Teens
Youth project management is a full-day program designed to help high school students take a project from beginning to end. Leadership Green Bay alumni serve as facilitators, teaching students about the four phases required to complete a project: defining, planning, implementing and finalization.
The program is offered each fall, when several Green Bay School District schools choose 25 students from their area high schools to attend the training. The training includes interactive exercises that make an impression on the students. They also receive a workbook and other tools for future project management.
This program was created more than 10 years ago by Humana and Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce staff to bring education and business together. In addition to the students, several businesses open their work sites for the training. In 2009, sponsors included Wisconsin Public Service Corporation and Humana.
