Regular Chamber events

The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a number of events, seminars, recognition events and networking opportunities to help our members grow their businesses. We regularly add to the list in response to business needs and issues, but our mainstays include:

Third Thursday's Business and Breakfast
From September to May each year, the Third Thursday's Business and Breakfast is your opportunity to enjoy a delicious breakfast, networking with your peers and insights on business-related topics of interest presented by people in the know. Enhance your business management knowledge – start your third Thursday right with a Business and Breakfast. Business and Breakfasts are $18 for members, $35 for prospective members.

Business After Hours
From September to May each year, Business After Hours events are a great way to make valuable business contacts, entertain clients and reward employees at a variety of Chamber member businesses in the Greater Green Bay area. Most events (with the exception of the holiday Business After Hours) are free for members, $30 for prospective members.

Power Networking Breakfast
Every month, Power Networking Breakfasts are hosted the first Tuesday of the month at the Chamber of Commerce, located at 300 N. Broadway, Ste. 3A.
Bring your business cards and brochures and present a one-minute "elevator speech" to up to 50 of your business peers at this great networking opportunity. FREE to members, $16 for prospective members. For more information contact Carina Wilz , special events manager, at 920-593-3419.

Advance Business & Manufacturing Center Entrepreneurial Innovation Series
This quarterly series – held at the Advance Business & Manufacturing Assistance Center on the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College campus – delivers business-oriented seminars for big and small business alike. They focus on business trends, presented by expert panelists and speakers.

Topics have included:
• opportunities for business growth through innovation and funding
• thought leadership
• attracting retail development

The Entrepreneurial Innovation Series is brought to you by Advance, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Center for Entrepreneurship, SCORE and UWGB Small Business Development Center.

January

Presentation of Future 15 & Young Professional Awards
Recognition event for recipients of Future 15, Young Professional of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Next Generation Best Place to Work. Honors recipients while providing tangible examples of what other young professionals can do to make an impact in their community and profession.

April

Golden Apple Awards
Each April, Partners in Education of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and a number of community sponsors work to improve community awareness of the quality of education in the Greater Green Bay Area by recognizing high standards of professionalism, leadership and innovation in teaching. June

Business Recognition Luncheon
The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a Business Recognition Luncheon and Showcase each June during Small Business Week. Awards are bestowed on worthy businesses and/or business owners in the following categories: Environmental Stewardship, Cornerstone, Entrepreneurial Growth, Special Accomplishment and Business Person of the Year.  

Chamber Golf Outing Classic
Since 1981, the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce has teed up each June – often on two golf courses – with a couple hundred golfers for its annual Chamber Golf Outing Classic. Foursome packages include 18 holes of golf with cart, free putting contest, free use of driving range, refreshments on the course, continental breakfast, lunch, steak fry cookout and awards held at each course and drawings for door prizes and raffle prizes. August

Welcome Back Packers Luncheon
The annual lunch with the Green and Gold – the only event of its kind in the NFL –is held each August at (where else) the Lambeau Field Atrium. Green Bay Packers coaches, the full roster of players and key administrative staff sit down to dine with event attendees. Players and coaches are introduced and seated randomly (you could sit next to your favorite player), the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award is presented and the Packers coach shares a forecast on the upcoming season.

Chamber annual dinner
The Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates its anniversary in style each year, hosting a well-attended event that features a keynote speaker, honoring the many volunteers who make the Chamber successful, and celebrating the recipients of the Daniel Whitney, ATHENA and Excellence in Business Awards. Manufacturing Awards of Distinction
The Manufacturing Awards of Distinction program is held each November to honor companies in seven Northeast Wisconsin counties.
